Part-Time Violations Clerk

The shared Municipal Court of Bradley Beach/Avon by the Sea/Allenhurst/Neptune City is seeking a part-time qualified individual to serve as Violations Clerk. Applicants should be able to perform detailed municipal court clerical work with strong customer service skills.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to data entry, maintaining accurate records, filing, scheduling appearances, correspondence, recording payments and related duties as required for a busy court office.

Candidates must have excellent customer service skills, a strong attention to detail, the ability to handle money and financial transactions with accuracy, and excellent organization and self-motivation skills. Bilingual in Spanish appreciated, but not required. Applicants must be able to work under pressure and be comfortable being in front of a courtroom. All staff are cross- trained and have court responsibilities. Applicants must be willing to attend POMCA/training classes when required.

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER BOROUGH OF BRADLEY BEACH, MONMOUTH COUNTY.

The Borough has a population of 4200 full time residents, swelling during the season, Current, Beach and Sewer utility budgets of $15.3 M. The CFO reports directly to the Mayor and Administrator and is responsible for all statutory duties along with managing the financial operations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the oversight and hands-on maintenance of an encumbrance system, books of original entry, fixed asset system, general ledger; debt and grant management, investment and disbursement of funds, payroll processing, bank reconciliations, preparation of the AFS, ADS and SDS, working with auditors during the annual audit, accounts payable and receivable for Current Fund and Sewer and Beach Utilities. Assists the Borough Administrator and Mayor in the preparation and oversight of the municipal budget and debt management plan. Strong ability to analyze financial data, especially in estimating long range costs of projects or proposed ordinances. Providing advice on financial matters to the Borough Administrator, Mayor and Council. 

Candidates must hold a CMFO license. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years’ experience. Must have excellent computer skills and be proficient in Edmunds Financial Software, Prime point Payroll and Microsoft Excel.
